Master swimmers of Shaker heights.

Practicing a sport, for some of us, it stays with us throughout our lives. This is the case for the master swimmers of Shaker Heights. I got the assignment to tell the story of Mr. Peterson, the trainer of the master swimmers that get together three times a week at the Woodland pool in Shaker Heights. Before the sunrise as usual, a group of enthusiastic swimmers pull on their suits and jump into the water. I was able to capture their relationship with their coach and the surreal underwater shots that portrays a group dance of bodies going back and for in their lane. After experiencing that scene, I wanted to jump in the water myself. I have to tell you: I am a master swimmer too. Be enthusiastic and practice a sport, too.

Photo group shot for Italo’s gymnastics.

These are some of the photos that I did for my good friend Italo Gonzalez and his gymnastic students. Italo is a geo-structural engineer and in his spare time coaches a gymnastics team at Lakeshore Gymnastics located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Ingenuity

Ingenuity festival is taking place this weekend in Cleveland. This is one of the greatest festivals here in Cleveland. Personally, I like Cleveland for all the cultural activity. It does has many events!

This festival takes place at the Veterans Memorial Bridge.
I told my friend Michael to stop by and do some photography. These photographs are friends and people that agreed to be photograph at this place.

Once upon a time…

What happened to our beloved Mexico? When will the real change come to our people? The miniature work of Tere Cisneros that depicts scenes of our traditional Mexico makes me nostalgic for my country. It is hard to read the news that come out of Mexico on a daily basis. At this crucial time in our history my thoughts go out to the people that work every day to bring the change to Mexico.

On being a visual communicator…

The service that I have been offering to my clients is not limited to still images. As a visual communicator, I want to be a partner with my clients to provide them with content for their marketing. Nowadays, that is the challenge for photographers: the expansion of our skill set to satisfy the diverse needs of our clientele.

Please take a look at the work that I have been creating for ORALE! Contemporary Mexican Cuisine and their new video clip.

Tom Evert under the lens lamp.

My brother Flores is here with us. We both wear flowered shirts (Flores) a long time ago. Good times like we use to spend every time that we are close. Great artist and a wonderful person.  I asked him to pose for my new gadget invention, using the dinner-plate size glass lens from my old enlarger, that I am playing with on photo lamps.

Erin and Matthew’s wedding

Erin and Matthew are a creative entrepreneurial couple. Their wedding reception took place on a stage in a theater, complete with lights and dramatic draping fabrics. I would not expect less from Erin (a graduate of Ashland University with a B.A. in Musical Theatre, who directs children’s plays) and Matthew (who runs his own company, M.R. Productions, that not only produces music but also designs events.)

Good luck to them in their future endeavors!
